My name is Sharon Pace and I am running for the 14th District State Senate seat in the August 2018 Democratic Primary. Having completed eight successful years in the Missouri House, I am well prepared to stand up for the interests of the people in the Missouri Senate. My professional career experience in the healthcare industry, coupled with my service on boards of social agencies working with families and children, give me a unique connection to the critical needs of our community.
The Republicans in Washington and Jefferson City have ignored the pressing issues of our day and the list is long. As your next State Senator, I will focus on job creation, raising the minimum wage, expanding Medicaid, women’s health issues, fully funding our schools and universities, rebuilding our infrastructure, transportation, social justice, equal opportunity, helping our seniors and veterans, housing, protecting the rights of workers, defending the middle-class and combating violent crime tied to gangs, drugs and hopelessness. I will also fight the micromanaging of our local governments by those in Jefferson City and trying to overturn the will of the voters. I will fight their attempts at voter suppression and stand up to the millionaires who buy politicians to line their own pockets at our expense.
The list of challenges is long, but I believe I am ready for the challenge. I want to carry the hopes and aspirations of the people that government works for them and not just the rich and powerful. It is time we had a progressive agenda and real leadership to MOVE MISSOURI FORWARD! That’s why I am running, and why I would be proud to have you be a part of our campaign… to join me on the journey… every step of the way. Thank you!
